The Witcherverse has been truly dynamic in etching its magnanimous foothold over the audience’s heart from its inception. The show has not only dived deep into making it a staple for the viewers’ watch list but also created a home away from home for the actors within. As The Witcher’s previous installment recorded the last imprints of Henry Cavill as Geralt, a void teeming with disappointment began gripping beyond the fandom. While many had varied emotional outlets, his on-screen co-stars like Freya Allan resorted to noting down their memorable picks from the third season.

Even though Geralt and Ciri’s shared moments on screen were hooking throughout, Allan’s personal favorite might succeed as a surprise.

Therefore, while conversing with Stream Wars for a behind-the-scenes interview in 2023, Freya Allan opened up about the most treasured instance with the former Geralt on the sets of The Witcher 3, sending cues of their close-knit alliance. Allan revealed that her favorite pick was “getting to fight with him”. 

Advancing on her memories, she recalled “waiting to fight with him because he is, there’s no doubt fantastic at it.”. She also went explicit on her desire “to be like you when I fight” while admiring his combat skills. Although Allan and Joey Batey even cracked a cheeky joke suggesting Cavill getting “jealous” making him want to “step up” the “game”, Allan further admitted her enthusiasm in getting to “use Geralt’s sword”.

While Allan’s choice of close-to-heart memories from Cavill’s last day on the sets is surely heartwarming, Joey Batey’s call to the trip down the lane is also no less touching.

The Witcher 4 might be buckling up to ensure a smooth transition from Henry Cavill to Liam Hemsworth, but this interview reminds one of the ways that Cavill will be remembered as  Geralt. Allan’s token of appreciation did leave a sentimental anecdote for fans in the future to look back at their favorite. On the other hand, Joey Batey’s confession held the record of the dedication Cavill had put to make Geralt the character it is today.

Looking back at his “final few days”, Batey recalled how Cavill “learned and co-choreographed his final fight scene”. He even took points of his focus on the actualization of the scene. Batey reminded during the dialogue how Cavill was suffering from “cold” during the time, but that did not hinder his determination to enact a flawless scene. Therefore, it is safe to assume that his magic not only tightened its grip over the audience through his time on The Witcher but even motivated his co-stars beyond the ordinary.
