The man who shot to stardom with a bow and arrow, Stephen Amell has not just played the hero on screen but also embodies the essence of an entertainment powerhouse by being a WWE wrestler. Similar to Henry Cavill in The Witcher, his eye-catching physique and charisma in scenes draw the attention of audiences effortlessly. Well, in The Witcher, Cavill’s character of Geralt and Gallatin who bears strong resemblance to Stephen Amell were both searching for the White Flame.

Some fans wondered if it was really the Arrow actor who had appeared on the Netflix show. 

Is Stephen Amell the actor who portrayed Gallatin?

When Gallatin first appeared on the Continent’s battlefield in the third season of The Witcher, viewers were transfixed by the character’s journey until his tragic death at the hands of Cahir. As it turns out, it was not Stephen Amell but a close relative of his that had enacted Gallatin’s part. It was Robbie Amell, a first cousin of Stephen’s who had taken on the Witcherverse role.  

Those who had come across Stephen Amell’s  iconic portrayal of Oliver Queen in Arrow were convinced that it was him who had delivered the Gallatin cameo. Since both cousins are known for  flexing their spectacular biceps and acting skills, mistaking one for the other is understandable. Especially since The Flash actor only appeared in the third season for two episodes. 

Even within his short-lived role, Robbie Amell delivered a convincing portrayal of Gallatin.

Gallatin’s short journey in The Witcher season 3

A fearless warrior of the Scoia’tael, Gallatin emerged as a charismatic leader steering the group into battle for Nilfgaard’s cause. He pledged allegiance to his people by joining the search for Princess Ciri on the orders of Emperor Emphyr. Although Robbie Amell’s character does not appear in the books, he was brought into the fold by Cahir whose character development fans did not agree with!

The Upload actor portrayed Gallatin with boldness that fuelled his rebellion. Even through his short appearance, he sparked a compelling exploration of loyalty, authority, and the complexity of relationships that emerged in the war-torn lands of the Continent. Amell’s Gallatin was unafraid to voice his convictions, which left a lasting impact on the forces he was a part of.
