In the hit Netflix show Harry & Meghan, the royal prince blasted his elder brother Prince William for bullying him and his wife Meghan Markle out of the family. Prince Harry claimed that the heir to the throne was jealous and insecure about the Sussexes’ fame and success as working royals. As per the Duke, the Prince of Wales could not digest that his younger brother and sister-in-law were stealing his limelight.

Prince’s explosive claims have wreaked havoc in the royal circle. There is an intense debate going on among the fans about who is right between Prince Harry and Prince William. Amidst the royal chaos, the monarchists were reminded of an incident narrated in the book, Harry: Life, Loss, and Love. In the book published in 2018, the royal author Katie Nicholl made a sensational claim about the childhood of two royal princes.

Prince Harry was often left alone in his childhood

In the 2018 book, Katie Nicholl revealed that Prince Harry often felt abandoned and alone because of the biased treatment by Queen Mother. Since Prince William was the future king, the late Queen Mother paid more attention to him. In the process, she neglected the younger prince, and that used to make him upset. The royal author also described how the late royal would chat with the now Prince of Wales in a scheduled corner and leave the Duke alone. 

“I remember Harry complaining that when he and William were with the Queen Mother, William was always the center of attention. He was particularly upset when, on one occasion, the butler brought sandwiches just for her and William,” Nicholl quoted the late Princess Diana’s friend Simone Simmons in her book, as mentioned by The Sun. 

The different treatment of Prince William and Prince Harry from childhood made the latter aware of his spare title quite early. Princess Diana was also aware of the Sussex royal’s feelings and was more protective towards him. The late Princess of Wales never differentiated between her two sons, irrespective of their royal titles.
