Long before Henry Cavill put down his mantle and sword as Geralt of Rivia, rumors of his exit started swirling online. With this came speculations of Matt Bomer, the Golden Globe Award-winning actor, to fill his shoes as the monster hunter. This happened because of his striking resemblance to the former Superman. Also, when the official news of Cavill’s exit came out, fans suggested bringing him on the show.
According to them, he would have been the right candidate considering their similar looks and how the change would not affect viewers much. They both have chiseled faces and gleaming blue eyes and, in fact, their height is seriously uncanny. As for Liam Hemsworth, it will be quite obvious that the mutant’s face has been altered. However, as the creators have ensured, the transition will all be justified once season 4 streams.
Not only this, but Hemsworth looks exceptional in the costume and white hair that Cavill once donned, as affirmed by the executive producer of the show previously.

It is by far no secret that the creators of The Whiter faced massive backlash when Henry Cavill said goodbye to his role. Fans failed to embrace Hemsworth as the new lead actor, so executive producer Tomek Baginski came forward to tease that the actor looks great in the role. In his interview with Express Online, the creator revealed he has already seen him in the look. “And in the Witcher look. And he looks awesome,” said the producer.
It will probably take a while before when fans get to see Hemsworth as Geralt. The actor strike has been resolved, but updates on the shooting of the fantasy drama have not come yet. While the story now shifts more to Ciri, how Hemsworth would adapt to the role is yet to be seen as his preparation seems promising.
