No one is unaware of one of the gems of Stranger Things, Sadie Sink who has emerged as one incredible actress lately. After her mind-bending performances in the sci-fi and thriller series, the star got a myriad of golden opportunities. Out of which, one was The Whale. Having performed with some of the Oscar-worthy actors, Sink has made her place amongst the top-tier names of the industry. 

Owing to her magnificent aura and versatile acting, her legendary co-star could not stop gushing about the star in an interview. Brendan Fraser, who nailed the 600 pounds man role in the upcoming psychological drama feature, has a lot to praise about the 20-year-old star.

What did Brendan Fraser say about Sadie Sink and her performance in The Whale? 

When Max Mayfield rose to stardom, we could all see how much of a dramatic and potential actress Sadie Sink was becoming. In an interview with GQ, Fraser broke down all of his iconic characters, one of which was of course The Whale. Although there is no denying that his performance was a straight-up class act, other stars like Sink were also equally at par. In fact, speaking about Sink, Fraser confessed how her “beautifully controlled she was breathing” to him. 

Sadie Sink plays the part of Ellie, the daughter of Charlie who is played by Fraser himself. In addition to that, when the entire star cast gathered for a joint Q&A at TIFF 2022 Variety, director Darren Aronofsky also spoke highly of Sink. According to his own words, he was “blown away” owing to Sadie Sink’s remarkable performance. “To be around someone that young and in control of their craft and that prepared and professional,” Aronofsky continued further. 

Apart from that, they all had a robust amount of appreciation for Watchmen star, Hong Chau. The 43-year-old actress plays the role of Liz, Charlie’s friend and nurse. “Hong Chau makes everyone feel better around her,” said Fraser in the segment.
