The Henry Cavill ship for The Witcher has sailed. There will be no more of the Superman actor as Geralt, and no more of him and Yennefer’s electrifying chemistry. While the grief might just be settling in, it is no hour to lose hope. Liam Hemsworth and his stunt in the fantastical universe surely came at the junction of an unceremonious ending of the previous Geralt, but all is not lost. The Hunger Games stunner is bound to bring his magic and expertise to the screen. But will he live up to the three-seasons-old Geralt?

There are quite some important details and Geralt-specific antics that the Australian counterpart needs to whip his perfection on.

Will Liam Hemsworth deliver Geralt-specific skills?

Some of the most gripping scenes in the entire three-season run have been the action-packed delivery from Geralt and his enemies. Cavill’s mastery of fighting style and the famous Geralt grunt accompanying it should be one of the main lookouts for the Australian actor. It is tough to pull off no words and the grave grunt, but it is a tiny detail that won’t go unnoticed. Moreover, it only adds to the comedic relief that Jaskier and Geralt sport in the show.

Importantly, it is also a sign of how comfortable he is with the people around him. His counter-expression for somebody he hates involves a serious and deadly glare. Protruding with hate and loathing, the emotional storm inside Geralt is just conveyed through the eyes. The serious persona with an add-on of comedy is a tough scale to balance, one that Hemsworth needs to do well. 

While a friendly Roach would usually accompany Geralt, his exit from the show has left things uncertain. Keeping his Geralt specific expressions aside, it is his chemistry with Yennefer and Ciri that must be stressed upon.

The chemistry between the Witcher and the women in the show

The most important question lies in whether The Last Song actor will share the same chemistry with the focal point of the show, Yennefer. Not only did they have a tumultuous relationship since the beginning of season 1, season 3 had just closed in on something more serene. While the romantic feelings are very apparent now, the Isn’t It Romantic actor will need to convey the same depth. Because, “the eyes never lie, chico.” 

Following the romantic flame, another important relationship demands the same attention. Ciri and her journey of identifying her powers gave the show all the twists and turns it needed. Will Hemsworth navigate this relationship well?
