Over the past few years, Netflix has been on a fiery streak with its live adaptations, documentaries, and even its original films and series. While the streamer seemed to have had its hands full with upcoming releases like Bridgerton season 3, Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon - Part Two, and more, another upcoming project titled Unfrosted starring the legendary Jerry Seinfeld has ended up making its way online.

While fans of the 69-year-old comedian had expected his usual dose of dry sarcasm, they ended up being met with something beyond their expectations and imaginations.

In a recent post to X (formerly Twitter), Netflix finally gave fans a look at the upcoming movie, Unfrosted. With the project being Jerry Seinfeld’s first-ever directorial debut, the world had expected dry humor and sarcastic jokes. However, they got a world filled with color and whimsy, like Johnny Depp’s iconic Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Unlike the 2005 film, this one will focus on the cereal culture that took over the US with Kellogg and Post.

In the video shared online, Seinfeld could be seen acting as an employee of Kellogg's and trying to get a one-up on their rival breakfast brand. The flick’s storyline will follow the ideation and creation of the iconic Pop-Tart that has taken over the world as a fan favorite and easy breakfast. With a cast of Bill Burr, Melissa McCarthy, Amy Schumer and more participating in the movie, it is sure to leave fans in hysterics. The post also revealed that the movie would be added to the streamer’s library on May 3rd for the whole world to see.

While fans might finally be getting the behind-the-scenes of the Pop-Tart story, it ended up taking Seinfeld 14 years to finally make his directorial debut.

Ever since the beloved sitcom, Seinfeld, took over the world, Jerry Seinfeld has been considered one of the greatest comedians in Hollywood. While the star had always talked about creating his film since 2010, he unfortunately could not come up with an idea for his Netflix collaboration until 2018. In an old post to X, the actor shared his artistic visions of the film he wanted to helm.

While it might have taken Seinfeld 6 years to put his ideas to paper and turn them into a reality, the day has finally come. With the 69-year-old stepping into the next phase of his career, fans could see him come out with another Netflix project soon.
