Two Big Names Reprise Their Roles One Last Time for The Crown Season 6

With the power that spans centuries, the British Royal family makes for a great subject in cinemas. Over the years, we have witnessed a plethora of shows and films revolving around the monarch. As we all know, bringing the lives of the members of the Royal Family on screen has never been an easy task. However, Netflix’s original series, The Crown has done an incredible job of portraying the life of Queen Elizabeth II. Perhaps one of the most-watched shows on the streamer, The Crown, is immensely popular among the masses. After five incredible seasons, the show will be returning for a sixth season. And recently, exciting new updates about the show surfaced online.

Undoubtedly, the Crown did an impeccable job of portraying the life of Queen Elizabeth II. Furthermore, both Claire Foy and Olivia Coleman portrayed different timelines of the Queen’s life flawlessly. While many of us assumed both actresses had a set time on the series, the latest update might surprise you. Strange as it sounds, both Foy and Coleman will be returning in the sixth and final season of the show. Reports by What’s on Netflix confirmed the same not long ago. However, it is not clear what roles the two actresses will play in season 6.

Meanwhile, Imelda Staunton will reprise her role as Queen Elizabeth II for the final season as well. Foy as we all know played a young queen in the initial two seasons while Coleman starred in the role in seasons 3 and 4. Many of the rumors online suggest that the two might come together and interact in a dreamlike sequence where the queen reflects upon her life.

However, prior to this, Claire Foy appeared in different seasons even after season 2. Firstly, episode of season 4 and episodes one and four of season 5 featured her iteration. Suffice to say, the crossover between all three versions of the Queen in the final season will be a sight to behold. Fans are just waiting for the new season to stream soon.

When will the sixth season of The Crown premiere on Netflix?

It has been quite some time since season 5 of The Crown made its way to Netflix. Premiered back in November 2022, almost all seasons of the Netflix original has released in November except season 2. Numerous reports have suggested that the final season is due for a late 2023 release.

As of late, Netflix is yet to comment on when the final season will premiere. However, looking back at the previous release windows, it is safe to assume that the sixth season will release somewhere around November only.
