After being one of the most loved coming-of-age dramas of the decade, Sex Education recently came to its conclusion. Premiered back in 2019, the series took the world by storm since its release, garnering an enormous fan base. While the show’s storytelling and cinematography were at par, it was the complexity of teenage life and relationships the show portrayed that impressed the viewers. Spanning over four seasons, Sex Education gave some of the most iconic on-screen couples to the audience. 

Even though Netflix’s fan-favorite drama might have reached its end, the fans cannot seem to get enough of it. Following a record-breaking season finale, the fans have shaken the internet. And recently, the official account of Netflix left the fans in a frenzy. Sharing a picture of Otis and Maeve alongside Otis and Ruby, the streamer started the never-ending debate among the fans with the caption, “The show may have ended, but the debate rolls on.“

While the Laurie Nunn story displayed out-of-the-box and wild relationships, one of the fan-favorite bonds has always been Maeve and Otis. Their relationship and ‘will they/won’t they’ dynamic in the initial two seasons had been the driving force of the series. Moreover, the cliffhanger ending in season 2 made matters more exciting with viewers hoping they would finally get together. However, season 3 was a complete twist in the tale as Netflix shattered the fans’ expectations to see Otis and Maeve together. 

To everyone’s surprise, the streamer introduced the world to a completely unexpected couple, Otis and Ruby, and they soon became the heartthrob couple of the show. Their romance in a handful of episodes hugely blew up, causing fans to wonder which relationship was superior. Now that the series has finally concluded, it seems like fans are yet to decide on an answer.

Despite having a fallout towards the show’s season finale, fans still seem to hold great admiration for Otis and Maeve. The couple’s fans stormed Twitter with multiple reactions as they flooded the platform with #Motis. Meanwhile, a brief yet adorable bond between Ruby and Otis in the final season also helped them gain some votes. While one commented, “It’s always been Maeve,” another argued, “Sorry, but he was better with our Ruby.“
