Making an acting career as a child artist and having the world talk about you is a remarkable feat. However, with an upward rise in the spotlight so early comes abundant responsibility and an inevitable farewell to normalcy. The Hawkins squad from Stranger Things has had their fair share of stardom with their Netflix touchdown, and like is the tradition with Hollywood, their fame only grows by the minute. However, looking back at how Finn Wolfhard started and where he stands now, if he could turn back time and cross paths with his younger self, he would definitely advise him to take “breaks.”
While a time capsule may not materialize in the strangest of situations, what makes Wolfhard make such a wish?

Finn Wolfhard recently stopped by In the Envelope: The Actor’s Podcast when he was asked about some retrospective advice he would like to give to his younger self. Although it is hard to turn back time, if given a chance, Wolfhard would perhaps force himself to “take more breaks.” Even then, it would not mean he would just push himself away.
The actor continued that, though being a child actor from a successful show like Stranger Things is great, he would probably not advise himself to live in it 24/7. More often, he would have liked to have gone to “parties” and not “go 100% all in” just because he lucked out in showbiz. Of course, the show is undeniably big, and being a part of it feels incredible. However, he realizes “it’s only a part” of his life, not his “whole life.”
Speaking of Stranger Things and the final season, which is fast approaching, Finn Wolfhard revealed his mixed emotions with the nearing end.

Stranger Things is about to come full circle with season 5. But before that, Finn Wolhard opened up about his mixed feelings to PEOPLE in a recent interview. “I was so happy with his ending,” he said of Mike Wheeler, the character he portrays in the Netflix series. “I don’t know, I was satisfied, but I was also very confused and sad, but also very happy,” Wolfhard continued.

According to Wolfhard, completing the series was a lot to handle. In some part, it almost felt like a “dream” to him. The completion was so unreal that “it felt perfect,” he added. Wolfhard recalled filming the last scene and the disbelief he could not get over. Although he calls it “an emotional hangover,” Wolfhard could not be more thankful for the ending, which concluded with the entire cast being around each other.
