TROLLED! Jennifer Lawrence Finds Herself Getting Backlash From Twitter Amidst Controversial Statement
From Kanye West feeling the need to go on stage and interrupt another celebrity to speak about Beyonce to Will Smith slapping Chris Rock when he talked about Jada Smith; celebrity comments about each other, more often than not, do not end well. And therefore, when you have a show named Actors on Actors, it is bound to give the audience some juicy moments. The recent edition with Jennifer Lawrence proved to be juciy, indeed.

Jennifer Lawrence gets her facts wrong
Tripping onto Oscar’s stage, mistaking someone else for the now-deceased legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor, and being drunk on the red carpet, Jennifer Lawrence has at this point mastered the art of making her embarrassing moments seem likable because of her self-deprecating jokes. The Oscar-award-winning actress has a joke up her sleeve the majority of the times that she is speaking.
However, in the Actors on Actors interview, Lawrence, in all her seriousness, said that she was the first actress to lead an action movie.
And while this may not be enough for Sigourney Weaver, aka the actress who carried the Alien franchise on her back, to open for Lawrence, it is enough for the actress to get mercilessly roasted by Twitter users.
Twitter users call out Lawrence’s lack of knowledge
The Hunger Games was definitely a monumental movie franchise. And Lawrence’s portrayal of Katniss Everdeen helped to make the movie as impactful as it became. But for the actress to claim that no other woman had been cast as a lead for an action movie before her was ignorance at its finest. And Twitter does not hold back when it sees ignorance or disrespect.
Long before Lawrence was cast as Katniss Everdeen, Sigourney Weaver iconically played Ellen Ripley and Milla Jovovich effortlessly pulled off Alice in Resident Evil.

Fans cannot wrap their heads around the fact that Lawrence, who is a prominent name associated with the industry, does not know enough about it for her to falsely claim that she is the first woman to lead an action movie.
