After decades of anticipation, there is finally a live-action adaptation of The Sandman. Fans and critics alike have appreciated every aspect of the show. From the aesthetics, the storytelling, and of course the CGI (all hail baby gargoyle!), The Sandman wins hearts all over the world. It’s undeniable that The Sandman casting is on point. Every actor embodies their respective characters with such grace that it seems effortless on the screen. It’s a true testament to the actual talent and the hard work the actors put in for their roles. Tom Sturridge as Dream– The Sandman himself is just amazing in his portrayal of Morpheus.
Tom is not only a great actor but an even better human being, who has a great relationship with all f his co-stars. Maybe that’s why Tom can be shipped with any of his castmates.
The Sandman is every costar’s Dream come true
Tom receives nothing but praise from his costars. Whether it’s Gwendoline Christie, Kirby Howel-Baptiste, or Mason Alexander Park, every actor has expressed their delight in working with him. He even brings out the best in everyone he shares a scene with. The fact that he is a literal Dream boat is just a bonus. Recently, Netflix Geeked uploaded a series of pictures all dedicated to Tom Sturridge.
The post hinted at the mind-blowing chemistry that Tom shares with every member of the cast. If it were up to the Instagram handle, every single actor would have a kissing scene with The Sandman. Ferdinand Kingsley (Hob Gadling), Jenna Coleman (Johanna Constantine), Vivienne Acheampong (Lucienne), Gwendoline Christie (Lucifer), Boyd Holbrook (The Corinthian), and even his sibling Desire. Despite the problematic wishful thinking, one can’t help but agree with the post wholeheartedly.
The post also featured an interview clip with Kirby Howell-Baptiste (Death) and Mason Alexander Park (Desire) emphasizing the raw magnetism of Dream AKA The Sandman. “Tom just has s*xual chemistry with everyone. I mean, how could you not when you’re Tom Sturridge?” states Park as a matter-of-factly. They even made a joke speculating that every character might have slept with Dream, Baptiste also chimed in, saying, “Everyone is going to be shipped with Dream.” She even coined a new phrase and said that “Dream is the cast bicycle around everyone.”
While it’s weird to hear about Dream’s s*x appeal and chemistry from his siblings, they hit the nail right on the head. Let us know your thought in the comments. If you haven’t already, check out all ten episodes of The Sandman streaming on Netflix.
