Tom Hardy Brings Out his Famous Character, Bane During Jiu-Jitsu Tournament
Nobody envied Tom Hardy when he stepped into the role of big bad Bane, the supervillain in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises. Ever since Joker, there had not been any potential opponent to Batman in the trilogy, but Tom is no slouch. He puts hard into his bland muscle thug character who is a pioneer of Martial arts and rules Gotham. However, you would be thrilled to know that he actually lived up to his most treacherous character in real life as well.
Hardy recently proved himself a real-life tough guy at a live tournament. It seems as if Bane’s capabilities of close-range combat, which he displayed with Batman, have been retained within the actor’s physique forever. The actor smashed down an opponent in a martial arts contest.

Tom Hardy secretly enters a Brazilian Martial Arts tournament and wins gold
Following his double gold win at the Jiu-Jitsu tournament in England, the British actor secretly entered the 2022 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Open Championship and bagged another gold. The competition is held by Ultimate Martial Arts Championships at Oakgrove School in Milton Keynes. After the DC universe, this was Bane’s latest swing here on Earth. Being a pro at Martial Arts in both realms, Hardy went a bit too hard with his brute strength and ferocity to out-power his opponents. This sent a fresh flashback to the league of shadows chief commander outmaneuvering Batman and slipping one of his vertebrae.

If the DC superhero, Batman, could not escape his wrath, leave alone normal opponents of a real-life game. “The intensity that he brought to his movie roles, he brought that. He didn’t say a word, he didn’t say anything,” Hardy’s opponent said after the match. One of them also admitted that he went a bit nervous when he saw who he would be fighting with. Reports say Hardy helped him with it by saying, “forget it’s me and do what you would normally do.” Nonetheless, it was Tom who came out victorious by bagging first place in his division.
Although the star was much humbled, all of them saw a glimpse of the big bad Bane in him. Because of course, “do you think Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is our ally? We merely adopted Jiu-Jitsu, he was born in it, molded by it. He did not see the blue belt until he was already a man, by then it was nothing to him but rolling!” (In reference to his famous dialogue in the Batman combat scene).
