Will Smith took everyone on a trip to nostalgia with his photos for Jazzy Jeff’s birthday. The actor has been in the entertainment industry for more than three decades. This means he has quite a number of friends who progressed with him from a young age. One such friend is Jazzy Jeff.

The two, in fact, began their career together. Before his acting career, Smith was a rapper trying to crack into the music industry. He and Jeff were known as the hip-hop duo who were active from 1986 to 1994. Back then, Smith’s stage name was Fresh Prince. Based on this, his Fresh Prince of Bel-Air series was made. On Sunday, Smith took to social media to honor his friend on his birthday.

Will Smith wished DJ Jazzy Jeff with a sweet birthday post

Smith refreshed his Fresh Prince days with a birthday post for his old pal Jazzy Jeff. The I Am Legend actor took to Instagram to share photos of himself with his friend. The DJ, whose real name is Jeffrey Allen Townes, turned 58 on 22nd January. Smith captioned the birthday post, “Snazz!! Happy B’day to my day one, the Magnificent”. He tagged this friend, who replied in the comments with laughing emojis. The first picture in the post was a new one, while two others were of their old times. The DJ was wearing a hilarious mask in the third photo.

Some of the songs that they made together were Summertime, Girls Ain’t Nothing but Trouble, A Nightmare on My Street, etc. They even won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance for their song Parents Just Don’t Understand. Though Smith changed his focus to acting full-time after the success of his sitcom Fresh Prince of Bel Air, they performed together in 2019 as a reunion for the fans.
