Throwback to the Time Prince William Went on a Home Tour to Wales, Just to ‘Learn More’

Queen Elizabeth’s sad demise not only brought King Charles onto the throne but also got Prince William a step closer to becoming the future King. As the King ascended to the monarch’s title, Prince William attained the Prince of Wales rank. And he took his role a lot more seriously. Like any other institute’s royal engagements, Prince William overtook the position with great care and maturity. He became a learner in motion to grasp anything and everything to win the hearts of the Welsh people.
As reported by People Magazine back in the day, the new Prince of Wales immediately got down to render his duties in Wales, owing to some urgent meetings. The meeting was scheduled at the Welsh Parliament, or what is famously called the Senedd. While also taking on his responsibilities, he used the opportunity to cater to his desire to go around the state just to know more about it.

Concerned by his own people, Prince William wanted to “deepen his understanding of the issues and opportunities of greatest importance to the Welsh people,” revealed a statement from Kensington. As he joined the meetings with his brand new designation, Prince William was offered a tour around the Senedd by the presiding officer, Elin Jones.

After taking a round around the Parliament, the Prince of Wales met with other prominent faces in the Welsh administration. He made it clear that he has no intention of any formal investiture ceremonies for his arrival. Prince William only wished to learn as much as he could about the country.
How was Prince William learning for his Wales country?

During political conversations with the leading figures, he adhered to his intention of “deepening the trust and respect of the people of Wales” over the long term. Both he and his wife, Princess of Wales Kate Middleton, were aware of what modern Wales expected of them as their new flag bearer. The outlet said that both were keen on getting up and running on their new roles. However, they were going at it at their own pace, all cautious and mindful of the great responsibility bestowed on them.

One of the primary instances that showed Prince William is all for the Welsh country was his desire to get on with their language and culture. During his countless visits, he tried his best to learn some Welsh phrases and deliver them to the public to get closer to the people.
