In an Apple podcast interview, Skip Intro with Krista Smith, the 18-year-old starlet talked about her course of the journey in Enola Holmes. When it came to the script of the movie, Millie gave us all a shocking revelation. She was asked about what originally drew her to this movie since it is based on a book. She answered with an admission that it was all about the script, even though reading had never been her cup of tea.Reading has never been my thing, except for scripts,” said Brown. Despite her disinterest in books and literature, reading scripts is something that the actress really loves.

According to her, a proper screenplay makes her feel more involved in her character. To match the magnificence of older brother Sherlock Holmes, his little sister, Enola Holmes, played by Millie Bobby Brown, had a brilliant character arc in the franchise, as exclaimed by the actress.

Enola Holmes depicts a lot of societal conventions and their gradual alterations. Themes like Women’s independence and empowerment run throughout the franchise. However, what made it stand out from all typical feminist movies is that it did not try hard on the “independent woman” approach.

Although similar themes and subthemes branch out of that, the male characters in this story are still prominent and respected. Millie as Enola had emotional depth and character growth, which the audience missed for a while.
