While both Chris and Liam are amazing actors, the Thor star has cemented his image in the entertainment world with his acting prowess. The actor’s ability to embody Geralt’s character is reflected in his portrayal of Thor, which was a character of strength, vulnerability, and complexity. He wielded a powerful hammer for his godly superhero and fought several wars along with other heroes in the Marvel movies. So he would have perfectly fitted the monster slayer who often finds himself in life-threatening situations whenever a supernatural creature comes running behind his surprise child, Princess Ciri.

So this is another reason he could have swiftly fit the role and do all the action sequences like Cavill.

Thor has a standing history with Netflix 

Chris Hemsworth might be the perfect incarnation of Thor, but he has starred in many action thriller films. The father of three has headlined two Extraction films for Netflix in the past four years. The 2021 film became the most-watched original film in the streaming giant’s history, garnering over 99 million viewers in the first four weeks. Moreover, the second installment received much praise from critics for its action scenes and cast performances. So he could surely have carried another franchise to success on his back.

His brother, however, got his hands on the role and has been working hard to fit into it. The creators have promised that Liam would fit the role and look “amazing” in the makeup and costume. The production of season 4 has been delayed and will not happen until 2024. Though the reason remains unclear, this might have happened because Netflix has prioritized Stranger Things and Wednesday considering fans cannot wait any longer for the same. So it will take quite some time until Liam Hemsworth takes over Geralt and until then fans can rewatch episodes of their beloved star.
