The Forest Gump star Tom Hanks is all set to make his way to our screens after a long wait of 4 years. Based on a 2012 novel, A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman, the drama comedy film is a much awaited Hanks project. Recently, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood star made hilarious revelations on how he landed himself the lead role in the upcoming movie.

During the screening of the movie, Hanks shared, “For 365 nights, I slept with the producer to get the part.” Interestingly, the producer of A Man Called Otto is none other than the actor’s wife, Rita Wilson. 

What is A Man Called Otto about?

The Finding Neverland fame Marc Forster will act as the frontrunner for the movie. This upcoming drama comedy film will feature Hanks as a 60-year-old retired widower. In the movie, Otto spends his retired life alienating people. 

However, his life takes a turn when a family moves into his neighborhood. If you are waiting for a wholesome watch for Christmas, A Man Called Otto might make you feel right at home. The Tom Hanks starrer will have a limited release in New York and Los Angeles on 25th December.
