Viewers were welcomed to the compelling and compounding saga of Moon Knight last year. Marvel’s lesser-known hero Moon Knight was brought on the screen through the lens of mercenary Marc Spector played by Oscar Isaac. Though the beginning of the series left people exceedingly bonkers, it settled down in the most refreshing firmament. A lot of people who watched it have compared him to Marvel’s version of Batman. Both of them are vigilantes who mostly fight at night with secret identities and have serious emotional baggage from the past. However, the truth is far from that and this fact revealed by a fan on Twitter will tell you why.
A fan account named Shadow Knight recently shared a post that created upheaval among fans on Twitter. The user made the biggest revelation about the Moon Knight series alongside some pictures of Oscar Isaac. He stated in the tweet that this nemesis of the moon god is just another version of Spider-Man in a different universe.
The fact that Oscar Isaac (Spider-Man 2099) is Moon Knight on Earth-199999 is hilarious to me#SpiderManAcrossTheSpiderVerse pic.twitter.com/xzjGV4jPsE

No, Moon Knight and Spider-Man are not related; they just have an actor in common: Oscar Isaac. The 44-year-old came into limelight for his portrayal of Moon Knight in the Disney + Hotstar series. And on June 2nd, fans will see him essay the role of Spider-Man 2099 AKA Miguel O’Hara in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Seeing him in the recently released trailer of the upcoming movie, Shadow Knight drew parallels between the two characters.
The comparison left fans in a frenzy who were confused and triggered.
Marvel fans are losing minds over Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse trailer
Many fans couldn’t fathom why the trailer of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse called the MCU Earth-199999 when fans know it as Earth-616. A few fans had a perfect explanation for that.
It might be confusing for some people but the explanation is that other universes call the MCU as Earth-199999 but the people in the MCU call their universe as Earth-616

a good bunch of Spiderverse actors are also MCU actors like Hailee Steinfeld (Kate Bishop & Spider-Gwen)
That said, what would happen if they share screen lol

Meanwhile, one fan went meta and explained why Spider-Man 2099 calls Peter Parker from Earth 616/199999, played by Tom Holland, “little nerd” in the trailer.
He said "little nerd" because he doesn't remember Peter Parker from that world. 😂😂
