Premiered back in 2013, This is the End is truly an out-of-left-field comedy film available on Netflix. The director duo, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, took one of the most beloved plot points, the end of the world, and found an incredibly unique angle. Put simply, This Is The End is basically an apocalypse that breaks out at one of Hollywood’s biggest parties.

Not only did the film give the plot a unique angle, but it also featured an incredibly star-studded ensemble. The film’s starting line-up starred Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, James Franco, Jay Baruchel, and Craig Robinson. However, it was the cameos in the movie that stole the show.

As surprising as it sounds, the film featured 13 cameos throughout. Some notable actors appearing in the movie include Paul Rudd, Aziz Ansari, Channing Tatum, Emma Watson, and Kevin Hart. In addition to the actors, legendary singer Rihanna starred as the only musician among this disparate party crowd.

This Is The End was a hugely anticipated project of its time. Owing to the huge number of Hollywood stars that made an appearance in the movie added fuel to the fire. However, despite the hype surrounding the dark comedy, it performed only decently at the box office.

The Jonah Hill starrer did not perform well at the box office. This Is The End grossed around $126 million, bringing only $50 million in profit. However, the film’s insane premise and the star-studded ensemble did impress the audience. Rotten Tomatoes has given the movie an 83% rating and a 71% audience score.
