Wednesday has been hit for weird-creepy outstanding performances of characters. The new experiences of the deadpan teenager instantly captured viewers’ attention. They loved how this outcast entered the Nevermore Academy full of unique people just like her. The first thing that fans notice is the bond of the deadpan teen with her roommate Enid Sinclair. Many instantly flocked to express their admiration for these two when the show came out. Seeing this love for the duo, Jenna Ortega also expressed her thoughts about this friendship between two opposites.

In May 2023, Netflix Queue did a photoshoot with the overtly sweet friend of Wednesday played by Emma Myers. Unlike her colorful spirit depicted in the show, she took over the style of her deadpan roomie donning an all-black outfit. During the shot, they talked to the actresses about the dynamic friendship between these two characters. And the Scream Queen stated that the basis of these opposites-turned-best friends is their drastic differences.

“They form a really impactful and beautiful bond where they don’t have to say much, but the respect that they have for one another is known,” said Ortega. Even after having contrasting personalities, they both help each other grow in various ways. For instance, Addams encourages Sinclair to not let her parents pressurize her for the werewolf transformation.

Meanwhile, Enid shows Wednesday that the world is not painted in black-and-white only. She is perhaps the best person to do so, considering she herself has embraced all the colors and happiness life offers her even after not being able to wolf out like her peers.

But the best part of this friendship is that it has gone beyond the screen for both young actors.

Jenna Ortega feels protective of Emma Myers 

During her appearance on the episode of the Armchair Expert podcast, Jenna Ortega opened up about her bond with Emma Myers. In the interview, she stated that this was the first time she ever felt so protective toward anyone. The 20-year-old revealed how her fellow star has taken her mind and she always worries about her wellness. 

Although they took some time on the show to get along, in real life, the girls are just two peas in a pod. According to Ortega, they instantly clicked the moment they met and feel comfortable around one another. Well, fans would get to look at their growing bond in season 2. Sadly, at this point, it cannot be said when the show will come out considering the dark clouds surrounding Hollywood in the form of writers’ and actors’ strikes.
