“there will be a…”- Just Months after Henry Cavill’s ‘The Witcher’ Exit, Casting Director Makes a Grand Statement about Season 5 with Liam Hemsworth
Henry Cavill is all set to say goodbye to his beloved series, The Witcher. After starring in the show for more than two seasons, the 40-year-old actor has finally bid adieu to the series for good. Although he has been replaced by Liam Hemsworth, he will always be a fan favorite as Geralt of Rivia. And as the Australian actor has taken over the show, he is planning to stay there for a longer time.
Ahead of the third season’s release, the making of the fifth is confirmed. And the show’s casting director Sophie Holland has confirmed the news. In a recent interview with Deadline, she said, “….there will be a short gap then we go straight into season five.” Holland also confirmed that filming for the fourth season has begun with The Hunger Games actor.

Season 4 of the show will reportedly be filming in September this year and will wrap by May 2024. This confirms that the fifth season has been drafted by the writers and the production is looking for a long time bond with Liam. As time progresses, we can anticipate receiving further updates and clarifications regarding these details.

Sophie Holland said this when asked about Henry Cavill
The casting director mostly talked about the upcoming season of the show and her experience with the recently shot season. But it was obvious that the interviewer brought Cavill into the discussion because of his attachment to the show. Holland was questioned about whether or not she would justify the reason behind Cavill’s exit.
To which she said that it would not be appropriate for her to comment on that subject. However, she said that she would love to comment on it, but she won’t. But she did say that she is hopeful for Liam Hemsworth since he also has a huge fanbase. Although Holland did not comment on Cavill’s exit, showrunner Lauren Hissrich explained the reason behind it.

Holland is sure that the mix of old and new faces in the show will give it a new touch. The third season will release by the end of June, after that, fans will see Liam as the new Geralt of Rivia.
