Costumes give the character a perfect identity, which makes the viewer feel connected to them. The Witcher‘s costume designer, Lucinda Wrights, threw light on these iconic costumes of the characters in the series.

Every character has a specific quality that their costumes bring out in them. Therefore, it is extremely crucial for the costume designer to catch the essence of every entity in the show. Geralt of Rivia has been fighting monsters, as we have witnessed. Therefore, he should be about to move his body with the maximum flexibility possible. So, when Wright was brought back to design costumes for the second season as well, she had a discussion with the 40-year-old actor, as Variety reported. Cavill honestly and with the utmost humbleness, explained what he liked and did not like in the costume.

Because Geralt keeps his swords in the back, at first it was difficult for the actor to reach out for his swords. And details like that helped Wright with the modification of the costume. Now, because Geralt will have more dangerous situations to deal with in the upcoming season, his costume must allow the actor to move around in it with ease.
