Lucinda Wright, who has been designing the costumes for the Netflix drama, opened up about her work. She explained how each character in the series has a specific color palate decided for them. Moreover, she also closely examines if the costumes are appropriate for the character’s personality.

Talking about Cavill’s Geralt, Wright revealed Geralt would mostly be seen in black color, as per Redanian Intelligence. Moreover, the blue color represented Ciri, Cintra, and elves and Yennefer gets purple to bring out her eyes. Yennefer of Vengerberg is a dynamic sorceress. She is a powerful character. Therefore, to complement her magical personality, her character got a specific kind of costume.

Wright explained that she got the inspiration for Yennefer’s costume from an old Hells Angel. Because they are rare and got tattoos on the back, it inspired Wright to design Yennefer’s coat and its embroidery down in the back. Once, the 74th Emmy Award-nominated designer opened up about what the Enola Holmes actor thought about his costumes designed by her.

Cavill honestly and with the utmost humbleness, explained what he liked and did not like in the costume.

Because Geralt keeps his swords in the back, at first it was difficult for the actor to reach out for his swords. And details like that helped Wright with the modification of the costume.
