Mimi Ndiweni believed style had a huge hand in Fringilla’s evolution

In December 2021, Anya Chalhotra and Mimi Ndiweni sat down with Fancity Central to talk about The Witcher. During the interview, the host pointed out how Fringilla had a major costume change in season 2. In her response, she said the costume change was something not just about the character but herself and how she wanted to feel in it. According to her, the sorceress changed her style “to look like she’s powerful”. 

Fringilla might not be there “emotionally” but she wanted to put it on display, says Ndiweni. The new costume helped them showcase the change the character was going through. It became more of an armor and the actress enjoyed the way she looked in the show in the latest season. In the continued conversation, the Doctor Who star also opened up about her favorite aspect of Fringilla.

She shared things about the characters that go beyond the costumes.

The Witcher star talked about Fringilla’s relationships

Fans have seen Fringilla navigate a path fraught with more ambiguity and struggle to survive on the continent. Mimi Ndiweni showed a unique side saying that the relationships she made in season 2 reflected the struggle she was fending with. The character might be bold in her choices but she was vulnerable, remarked the British star. 

Fringilla had indeed come a long way since the first season and in season 3 she finally chose her side. She told the queen of elves about how Emyhr killed her baby and that she had a hand in it. Thus, fans will explore what this revelation brings for the mage in the upcoming season which replaces Henry Cavill with Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia.
