‘The Witcher’ Star Francesca Findabair Says the Show Will Be “Great” Without Henry Cavill
It seems like ages since fans were repulsed by the thought of The Witcher being adapted into a Netflix series. And a majority of this distaste also believed that Henry Cavill, who was dangling by a thread in DC at that point in time, could not be their Geralt. But as the series edges closer to Season 3, the debate surrounding the series could not be any more different.
The upcoming season will bid farewell to Henry Cavill, who not only adapted Geralt down to the last morsel but also turned a magnet for the audiences. This resulted in the prevalence of the show as a #1 Netflix series. As he leaves the series, however, he has put The Witcher cast and crew in a bit of a pickle. One that Mecia Simson does not like the taste of.

Following the announcement of Cavill leaving The Witcher, the remaining cast and crew were left to make some difficult decisions. These ranged from who to cast instead and whether to even continue with the show as shared by Hissirich. And evidently, the show has decided to move on without Henry Cavill. Although, Mecia Simson, who plays Francesca Findabair, during an interview with A Trip to the Movies with Alex Zane did press how “shocked,” she was at the actor’s exit, she maintained that the show is going to remain “great.”
This ‘the show must go on’ attitude, while an optimistic approach, seems to be not doing much in favor of the cast. However, not just Mecia Simson or the remaining of The Witcher cast, but Henry Cavill himself remains adamant about the “bright” future of the show.

While his exit will affect the show as a whole, the coming season will be heavily centered around Ciri. And with the previous season ending on such a powerful note for her as she murders every infant in Redania, the upcoming season is bound to expand more on her powers.
What does The Witcher Season 3 have in store for Francesca?
In what will be left of Netflix’s top fantasy tale after the exit of Henry Cavill, Francesca Findabair seems among the brightest prospects. She sent shudders down the audience’s spine as she said, “What has been need not always be,” making clear that the safety of elves is her top priority. As Cahir, Fringilla, and Emperor Emphyr have turned the elves against those in Redania, Francesca will have a lot to fight for.
