Even The Continent’s Monsters are weeping in elven tears as Henry Cavill performs his last duties as Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher season 3. With volume 1 already here, viewers do know much is at stake as Yennefer and Geralt devote all their energy and resources to save White Wolf’s destiny AKA Princess Cirilla of Cintra. However, it will not be a simple task and Cavill’s Geralt might as well breathe his last, saving his child surprise.

What then becomes important to note here is that even though the British actor is passing down his mantle to Liam Hemsworth; The Witcher‘s true spirit lies in Freya Allan’s Cirilla. And in season 3 volume 2, fans will have more time with her than ever. Reports have that one entire episode has dedicated itself to the Princess’s struggle in the Korath desert. And it will be a sight to behold.

As much as we have understood from the teaser and trailer of the 2nd volume, and the detailed analysis of Redanian Intelligence, episode 7 of the upcoming volume will have Ciri toiling alone in the Frying Pan or Korath Desert. And while you might know Ciri is finally meeting the unicorn of her dreams, that is not all. The unicorns are said to have similar power as Ciri and are the enemies of the Wild Hunt. Does that suggest Ihuarraquax will summon the Wild Hunt? Perhaps.

Apart from the time-traveling Unicorn, the Princess will also encounter a Desert monster. The monster, according to the books, will wound Ciri’s only friend with poison. Notably, in order to heal the Unicorn, she may use the forbidden magic – fire. And in doing so, she might as well forfeit her abilities once and for all.

Cirilla will also have amplified visions in The Witcher Season 3 Volume 2

Volume one has already hinted at the increased amount of visions the Cintra princess is dealing with. And as we teased earlier, it seems like she will just amplify this in the Korath desert because of dehydration. In these uncontrollable visions, Ciri will most likely meet her ancestors, including the Queen of Calanthe and her grandmother, her mother Princess Pavetta, and perhaps her blood relative Falka.

While her mother and her grandmother may be anchors for the otherwise delirious Ciri, you might wonder who is Falka. She is the vicious leader of Falka’s rebellion- a war that snapped thousands of life in a blink of an eye; and the daughter of King Vridank of Redania and his first wife, the half-elf Beatrix of Kovir. The King’s newfound love in Cerro apparently caused the abandonment of Bloody Falka and her mother, and Falka, as a favor in return, swiped the entire continent some 100 years before the timeline of the show.

Although the Princess is not directly related to Falka in the books, the show deliberately calls her, “the descendant of Lara Dorren and Falka.” Reports suggest that Falka will act as an agent of Chaos, pulling Ciri to “the dark side”. This will eventually set up her arc in season 4, wherein she will join the Rats.
