‘The Witcher’ Season 4: After Henry Cavill’s Departure, Liam Hemsworth’s Debut as Geralt of Rivia Might Take Longer Than Expected
After three spectacular seasons, Henry Cavill took a grand exit from The Witcher, handing over the swords and medallion to Liam Hemsworth from Season 4. Although there are mixed emotions among fans, the cast members are excited to welcome the Australian actor. Surprisingly, even before the release of Season 3, Hemsworth’s preparations for Geralt had begun. It made fans feel all the thrill to dive into the mystical world yet again very soon.
Contrary to fans’ expectations, they might have to wait a little more to see Liam Hemsworth helm the role of the White Wolf.
The Witcher season 4 to take more time than expected

Lauren Schmidt Hissrich’s show has become one of the record-breaking Netflix shows that is preparing for the forthcoming seasons. According to a recent report by Redanian Intelligence, although the production had already begun, seasons 4 and 5 might land on the streaming giant in 2025 and 2026, respectively. Reportedly, Netflix is planning to film both seasons back-to-back with the fifth season likely to be the last.
Following the WGA strike’s end, writers are currently working on polishing the scripts for season 4 at Longcross Studios. Moreover, the outline of the fifth season was ready before the strikes. Therefore, the production for the fifth season is also expected to begin soon. Meanwhile, as the executive producers, and even Joey Batey once revealed, The Hunger Games actor is training to fill big shoes.
If everything turns out as planned, the filming will begin in 2024. However, there will be a little break before beginning the filming fifth season. Although Netflix has not announced an official date of release for both seasons, it looks like fans will have to wait till 2025 to finally see Liam Hemsworth donning the iconic Geralt costume. Nevertheless, 2024 seems promising to The WitcherVerse.

Andrzej Sapkowski’s novels have created a vast universe with magic, monsters, Witchers, sorcerers, Elves, and much more, that fans would love to see the adaptations of. Therefore, following the success of the Henry Cavill starrer, there is another prequel, The Rats, in the making as well. It has been quite some time since the production started. Reportedly, it might land on the streaming giant in 2024 as well.

Moreover, the anime, The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep is also blowing a wind of excitement for the novel lovers. Based on the short story A Little Sacrifice from the book, Sirens of the Deep might also stream in 2024. The world that Sapkowski has created in his books is shaping outside casting its magic all over the fandom.
