No matter what they do, it seems like Netflix’s fantasy series, The Witcher is doomed to suffer! And it seems like the showrunners have themselves inked its grim destiny. The Continent was gay and content for hundreds of years as seen in the first two seasons. However, with the Conjunction of Spheres, came the news of fan-favorite Geralt of Rivia aka Henry Cavill’s departure. Since then, nothing has remained the same for the Witcherverse.
While showrunner Lauren Hissrich did promise a grand see-off for the British actor, and hinted long back that the third season will be true to its source, it does not seem the case. And at its heart stands yet another fan-favorite character, Jaskier, and his relationship with the Prince of Redania, Radovid, which apparently has riled the loyal fans even more. Yes! Their racy chemistry certainly appealed to fans for a moment, but the viewers were perhaps not hoping the season to be all about “Radskier.”

And it seems like the Netflix show has managed to pinch the fans exactly where it was hurting the most! The Witcher’s official Twitter page apparently posted two pictures, one of Jaskier, and the other of his newfound lover, Prince Radovid. “The plot of The Witcher Season 3 summed up in two images,” the caption read, and it was just enough to enrage the fans.
The Witcher once again vexes fans as it hints at digressing from the titular character
Sure, Jaskier has finally landed himself a Prince, he has never been more in love ever in his life before, and Radskier is something many would want to live for. But when Hissrich made grand promises, fans certainly hoped the fantasy series would focus more on Henry Cavill’s White Wolf and would stay true to the source. However, the latest Tweet has perhaps shattered their hopes.
While some call out the fantasy series for not being about its titular character anymore, others despise it for digressing from the source material once again.
Gotta be the worst thing they could've changed from the source material

We want more Henry Cavil and true-to-source material!

So not about witchers basically
— HeyoPlays (@HeyoPlays) July 4, 2023
That's a lie. There're no undertones of this kind in the books whatsoever.

Another fan harshly writes “Lauren Hissrich is a CW level writer.” Others say that they are “getting through” the third season only for Henry Cavill.
Game of Thrones Season 8 level

The skip-forward 10 seconds button has been VERY handy with this season.
Getting thru it for Henry, then I'm done.

Moreover, others complain that if they remove all the other things, they get only 2 minutes with their favorite Geralt. And some others call the season “non-canon trash.”

Yeah but they're decent minutes to be fair. Not great, but watchable.
I liked what the did with the Ball room scene. That was entertaining. Everything else has been mid.— Pinky 🇦🇺 (@PinkyPawsLive) July 5, 2023
I miss when The Witcher was about Geralt… Now it makes sense why he is leaving.

Furthermore, some call out the showrunners to age Radovid up “just for a gay relationship.” The Prince is apparently 12-13 years old in the books.
Aged up child to get involved in a gay relationship.
Fucking hell could you be any more degenerate???

Respect original story! Jaskier wasn't a gay in the books, but of course it's netflix and they have to change it.

Meanwhile, a few fans not only support the trope but are also obsessed with Jaskier and Radovid’s relationship.
Yep, it was only about them for me. (Kidding, but also not kidding, I'm obsessed with them).
