‘The Witcher’ Producer Compares Henry Cavill’s Exit to Superman and James Bond to Justify Re-Cast for Geralt
Fans cannot forget the time when Henry Cavill announced his exit from The Witcher. This news came just after the talks about his return to the silver screen as Superman. So many people thought he might be taking leave from Geralt of Rivia to focus on his most famous role. Alas, that also did not work out for the actor because James Gunn benched his version of the superhero rebooting DC Universe. After losing both roles, fans tied their hopes with him taking the throne of James Bond.
When his future with all these iconic characters looks blurred, the producer of the Netflix show is comparing his exit to the role he did and might do to justify his exit.

In his recent interview with Wyborcza, Tomek Bagiński responded to burning questions that have made fans restless in the past months. From the justification of Geralt’s physical changes in season 4 to the story arc, he talked about many things. So the executive producer also presented his unique perspective on the exit of Henry Cavill.
He stated that the British superstar was undoubtedly a great fit for Geralt and he did an incredible job. However, in the past decades, many actors have played it and the character has also changed with time. “I am most pleased that the series was created and became so popular. The Witcher has already reached the level of Batman, Superman and James Bond, “ added Bagiński.
The Polish illustrator continued that many wanted to see a new version of the mutant and now they have a chance on hands. Thus, according to him, this change is nothing new if one looks back at the history of pop culture heroes.
