‘The Witcher’ Fest! Netflix Poland Announces Pre Premiere Screening of ‘The Witcher’ Season 3 With Henry Cavill and the Cast
It took Andrzej Sapkowski five years to put forth The Witcher book series. However, writing an eight-part book series about shapeshifting beasts, Witchers, monsters, dwarfs, and many more mythological creatures for nearly a decade was not a part of the writer’s plan but the overbearing majority that had fallen in love with his stories urged him to do so. Sapkowski’s fantasy world is a spectacle packed with innumerable elements. One that Netflix was willing to spend $70-80 million on per season.
Netflix’s rendition of The Witcher for all its faults gets the spell bounding set design spot on. And it is not the only one, as Poland has taken things up a notch to celebrate the genius of its writer, Andrzej Sapkowski, to another level with The Witcher Fest.

As the series heads for the release of Season 3, fans are hoping for the creators to deliver any updates to get them excited. And while Lauren Schmidt-Hissrich has failed to deliver on that note, Netflix Poland has saved the day. While American creators may be in charge of the series, that the franchise has an affinity with Poland is no hidden secret. Sapkowski is himself a Polish writer and therefore one of its most popular cities, Lodz, is celebrating the beauty of the Continent and everything, The Witcher, with a festival. Netflix Poland got everyone’s spirit up when it asked ‘Will Lodz fit the entire continent?’.
While the question guarantees an out of the world experience with vital set pieces from the series, the fest also includes a pre-screening of the upcoming season. Just a few days before the worldwide premiere, on the 24th and 25th of June, fans who get a hold of the tickets will be able to enjoy a prescreening with the cast of the series. Henry Cavill included.
This is not the first time Poland has celebrated the beauty of Andrzej Sapkowski’s The Witcher. And especially as the debate of the dwindling relevance of the series takes the crown, Poland has something to offer fans of The Witcher that the series does not.
How Poland eternalized Geralt of Rivia?
The news of Henry Cavill making his exit from the show was met with speculations that the series and its creators did not treat him well. However, The Witcher, in its entirety, is a different concept. Not only does it stand witness to prove how seamless of an actor Henry Cavill is but also allowed him to amass a global fanbase. More specifically, an army united by their love for The Witcher video game.

While fans are saddened by his exit, Poland has created the biggest mural in the world inspired by Geralt. Designed by Jakum Rebelka, it covers the height of the Manhattan housing complex in Lodz. While the design has sharp edges, one cannot miss its resemblance to the fantasy series’ Netflix poster that featured Gearalt’s back as he looked at the horizon. This will prove to bring great comfort to fans who cannot imagine Geralt as anyone but Cavill.
