And recently, the streaming giant adds one more movie that gave Benedict Cumberbatch his first Oscar nomination. The biographical movie earned $233.6 million at the Box Office as well. This 2014 Morten Tyldum-directed movie is now on Netflix.

The British actor is famous for his portrayal of the brilliant detective, Sherlock Holmes, in the 2010 series titled Sherlock. His fans also know him as Doctor Strange from his Marvel movies. The Primetime Emmy Award-winning actor portrayed the role of Alan Turing in the 2014 film named The Imitation Game, which earned him his first Oscar nomination. The American streaming giant brings this iconic movie to its platform.

The movie is based on the book Alan Turing: The Enigma which was written by Andrew Hodges in 1983. This is a true story of a mathematician named Alan Turing and his group of people who cracked codes. Their work was very important to the British in World War II as they cracked the Enigma code, used by the Nazis to send messages about attacks in codes. Moreover, the movie became the top-grossing independent film release of 2014. And the American OTT platform added this war/drama to its platform for Cumberbatch fans to enjoy his stupendous performance.

Along with the MCU star, the biographical flick stars Rory Kinnear, Keira Knightley, Matthew Goode, Mark Strong, and Charles Dance. It was recognized with 8 nominations at the Academy Awards and won the award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
