The Sisters’ Battle Continues as Samantha Markle All Set to Refile “Even Stronger Defamation Case” Against the Duchess, Meghan Markle
The internet had gone bonkers over the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle celebrating their consecutive victories. However, a couple of them seemed to be short-lived. The US Patent Office declined their Archetypes trademark request. Meanwhile, the Defamation Court Case that declared Meghan Markle had won does seem to hold much longer. Soon after the Florida Court dismissed the plaintiff’s claims as “not objectively verifiable,” Samantha Markle’s attorney took it up the sleeves.
As reported by Telegraph, the plaintiff’s legal team has affirmed that it will now primarily focus on the comments passed by the Duchess in the infamous Oprah Winfrey interview of 2021. Another major revelation that came to light was that the case filed earlier not only revolved around the Duchess’ remarks, but also her firm supporters. The winning streak of the Duchess has thus come to a halt.

The latest royal biography entitled Finding Freedom, as written by Markle’s close associate, Omid Scobie, was also a major factor of consideration in the case. The estranged sister of the Duchess had accused her of spreading “demonstratively false and malicious lies” against her in a worldwide audience through the book and the over-hyped Television interview by Winfrey.
Samantha Markle had thus sued her half-sister, demanding a total of €60,000 which amounts to 70,000 US dollars for the harm caused through humiliation. Although there was no written evidence of the supposed remarks claimed by the Duchess, the 58-year-old took to the Florida Court to litigate against Meghan Markle.

Nonetheless, the Duchess’ prominent legal team fought back, touching upon the points that made Markle emerge as the victor. Her legal team, led by attorney Michael Kump, made it clear that her recollections of her past did not amount to a “proper subject of matter” for litigation in the court.

The Judges had thus granted the motion to dismiss the case on the basis revolving around Finding Freedom based on the facts made clear during the heated back and forth. However, there was a catch. Although Omid Scobie’s published biography went out of the scene, the court gave Samantha Markle one last chance to re-plead her claims related to the defendant’s CBS interview. Thus, it was later understood that Meghan Markle’s estranged sister still has a chance to claim “injurious falsehood” once again muddying the waters for the Sussex royals.
It is to see what new claims the estranged half-sister of the Duchess claims that time around in the court. Tell us what you think about the same in the comments below.
