Starring the Pixels star, the new comedy-drama draws inspiration from a novel of the same name by Fiona Rosenbloom. Released a few days ago, the coming-of-age comedy film took the audience by storm, setting a record. Not only did the film receive an impressive response from the fans, but it also received a near-perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes. The 2023 Adam Sandler starrer has a whooping 95% rating on the Tomatometer.
You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah revolves around the story of two best friends, Stacy Friedman and Lydia Katz. It takes the audience through their middle school journey, covering the highs and lows of teenage life. The story sails smoothly until their friendship hits the rocks as the duo finds themselves in a difficult situation, putting their bond to the test.
In addition to the Uncut Gems star, the film also stars his wife, Jackie Sandler, and two daughters, Sadie and Sunny Sandler. Apart from the Sandler family, Idina Menzel and Samantha Lorraine also star in the project. While the new project received a great rating, there are several films starring Sandler that the critics criticized, but the audiences loved.

The actor’s 1998 film Waterboy, received a disappointing rating from the critics with just a 33% rating on Tomatometer. However, the audience score was far from negative. Moreover, the film was a huge success, with over $190 million box office collection worldwide. What scores take away from his movies, fans make up for it by showing unabashed support for the actor.
