The God is a Woman singer hinted that she and The Weeknd are getting together for the mix-up for Abel’s 2016 hit, ‘Die For You‘. The two Grammy-winning artists are great friends and have worked together on music before. This update comes following Abel debuting the live video performance of the single as a preview for his upcoming HBO live special taping.
Fans could not suppress their excitement over the news. They took over the micro-blogging website to pour their heart out over this exciting news!
The Positions crooner recently dropped a TikTok video where she is seen working on her monitor editing a track in a dimly lit room. She is also heard singing the lyrics of the song Die For You. She added the caption that she was working on, adding a verse to a song for a friend. While she was already working 14 hours on set, she was glad to make this exception for a friend.

The Weeknd in turn reposted the video on his Instagram with a smiling teary-eyed emoji. And Ariana Grande was quick to drop in a string of stars and moon emojis on her friend’s post. The warm exchange between the two friends has already won the fans!

Grande and The Weeknd’s past collaborations
Their first collaboration dates back to 2014 when Abel recorded Love Me Harder with Grande and then Off The Table in 2020. After that, the 29-year-old singer added her vocals to Abel’s Save Your Tears. Since all their previous musical team-ups have produced hits, fans are sure the next mix-up will again be a banger.

Meanwhile, her friend 33-year-old Abel is working simultaneously on several creative projects. He released his last album in 2022 and is also co-producing and starring in HBO’s The Idol.
