While discussing Cavill’s classic roles, The Superman actor shared his experiences playing the characters on screen. He talked about various roles and, when asked about Geralt, admitted how he did not have to change himself much for the part.
Henry Cavill is no stranger to the idea of being a solo nomad
In an interview with GQ, Henry Cavill gave some interesting answers to the questions. Cavill discussed iconic roles, from The Man of Steel, Clark Kent, to Sherlock Holmes in Enola Holmes. Cavill also had a few things to say about his role as Geralt of Riveria in The Witcher.
The Witcher actor said, “The life of an actor can be very isolated. I tend to be a very private person. And so, when it comes to playing Geralt, I was no stranger to being the solo nomad, like a traveler and going from place to place. That is something I have been doing for 21 years now. So that aspect of Geralt was easier to tap into.”
Cavill landed the role of Geralt, amongst over 200 other actors hoping for the part. Geralt of Rivia is a monster hunter and the main character of The Witcher series. Interestingly, Cavill was very eager to play the role. The actor continuously bugged everyone until he finally won. One reason behind his eagerness was his love for The Witcher universe book series and video game franchise.
