After a long wait, The Adam Project is finally coming to the screen this weekend. Shawn Levy has directed The Adam Project, starring Ryan Reynolds. After Free Guy, the duo is back on their supernatural science fiction film- cool action, funny dialogue, and aspirational wish fulfillment. The other stars of the film include Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner, Walker Scobell, Catherine Keener, and Zoe Saldana.

The film develops around Adam played by Reynolds, who travels back in time in order to save his late father and the future. But it will be better if you know less about the story. Just wait for another day, and the film will blow your mind. In conversation with The Hindu, Shawn Levy shares his experience with the film. Shawn Levy explains The Adam Project

In the conversation with The Hindu, Shawn Levy explains time is the most powerful object in this world. And no one should trust with that much power. So, The Adam Project can be a sci-fi film, but it’s wrapped around an emotional story. Out of all the genres, only emotionality sticks to the audience most. For Levy, the nature of identity in childhood is very important. It can make or break a person. The fact Levy inclined to this identity part because his own childhood was never perfect.

We have wondered how this idea of science fiction has landed on Shawn Levy’s mind.

Shawn Levy claims if you are open to ideas, then some of these ideas will turn into a great movie. There is a scene from the movie. After filming that, both Levy and Reynolds thought the scene is good. But he changed the scene and says, “Shine the flashlight in Ryan’s face. Just bug him. Just shine the flashlight in his face.” And then it led to basically the centerpiece of the scene where Ryan steals it out of the kid’s hand, he shines in the kids’ face.” Even some small little ideas will make the filming amazing.

Levy confesses the script of the film has been developed for six to seven years. Reynolds does not know about it. Skydance and Jonathan Tropper have developed the script. In the post-production of Free Guy, David Ellison explains the script to Reynolds.
