The Crown on Netflix shed light on the Royal family of Britain through five long seasons. From Queen Elizabeth’s crowning to the stories featuring her grandchildren, the series has given us all. With the late Queen’s story taking the center mantle, the show has been a hit among the audiences, especially the Americans. Moreover, the series has remained among the top, winning accolades after accolades. Even recently, it got selected for Hollywood’s Critics Awards. 

While the Netflix show gears up for its last season, the sad news was accompanied by an exciting hint at the infamous Charles-Diana duo. 

King Charles’ first marriage takes center stage

It is not a secret that the Royal couple who were parents to Prince William and Prince Harry had a tumultuous marriage. Late Princess Diana, who was married to King Charles, had also commented about being in a relationship of three. Obviously hinting at King Charles’ relationship with Camilla, the OTT platform dropped a teaser of the same on Twitter. Acknowledging the unfortunate end of the series, the upcoming sixth season will showcase the 2005 nuptials of current King Charles and Queen Camilla. Having had an affair for years, they finally tied the knot in 2005. 

The series will show us the same on the screen, living up to their authenticity with the stories. While the last season doesn’t seem to be touching upon the events after the death of the Crown it was based on, the infamous dynamo between King Charles, his ex-wife Diana, and his second marriage with Camilla had always caused a stir among the public. Playing out on screens will give the events a second life. 

King Charles’ second marriage isn’t the only incident in the final and last season of the series that will be touched upon. 

The Crown touches upon another controversy

Prince Harry has often revealed his distaste for the British media. Not only did he blame the tabloids for ruining his childhood but also sued a British media company for the negative press they put the young Duke to subject to. The sixth season was also reported to touch upon the Nazi scandal of the Duke’s costume. Donning the controversial dress as a costume, the press went into a frenzy and blew it out of proportion. 

Moreover, this was another example of how the press targeted the young Prince. In a revelation in his book Spare, Prince Harry revealed how the costume was an idea of his elder brother and his wife Kate Middleton. Needless to say, the last season of the Netflix hit show will be momentous and eventful, waiting to stir up a frenzy among royalists.
