“That’s difficult for even me” – Zachary Levi Opens up on Henry Cavill and Dwayne Johnson Chaos, Expresses His Interest in Working With Them
There was a lot of hype and anticipation created when Henry Cavill got a cameo in the Black Adam. Unfortunately, it went in vain after James Gunn and Peter Safran announced they would like to focus on Superman’s younger life. These changes in the DC Universe shook the fandom that the British actor won’t be playing Superman. Not long after that, a new update about the highly anticipated superhero film hit fans.
Dwayne Johnson, who played the lead role in Black Adam, announced that this project won’t be going ahead any time soon. Moreover, the CEOs are reportedly planning to reboot DCU with a new cast that will fit their new vision. At present, the only exception seems to be Zachary Levi who still might have a hopeful future with the franchise and may continue playing the superhero. But these massive changes also disheartened him as he wished to work with these shelved actors.

“I know we’ve seen some characters, some actors that are taking an exit. And I know that’s difficult. That’s difficult for even me, you know what I mean?” stated Levi.
The American actor continued that he was looking forward to work with the Enola Holmes star and The Rock. However, after the massive changes, this might not be possible and Gunn has other plans.

Fans might have the idea why Levi said that because Black Adam and Shazam are rivals in the comic books. Therefore, the duo had the chance to create a movie on their rivalry, but the prospects of that are zero for now. On the other hand, Superman was a mentor and icon for this superhero and they could have come together as a team in the Justice League. Sadly, all these opportunities have been overshadowed by the decision James Gunn made.
Regardless, Levi is hopeful that Gunn and Peter Safran know what they are doing and, in his Instagram post, has asked fans to hold the same faith in the current DCU heads.
