“Thank you, and goodbye” – Millie Bobby Brown Is More Ready Than Ever to Bid Adieu to Her ‘Stranger Things’ Stint
Netflix definitely hit the ball out of the park when it came to crafting and sailing through in-home franchises, the latest of whom is One Piece. The massive success it achieved thanks to a creative cast, writers, and a fairly good amount of budget has put some of its shows on the famed hallows of pop culture. Among the many genres it has and still curates, fantasy is one of its strongholds. And among them, the few that still sail strong after multiple seasons is the Millie Bobby Brown starrer, Stranger Things.
After seven years and four seasons, the Upside Down cast is gearing up for its final run. However, as fans may feel it hard to let go, it seems the lead actress already has her bags packed and on the porch.

Hardly eleven when cast as Eleven in the show, Millie Bobby Brown has progressed exponentially since the series debut. Growing along with the show, the 19-year-old has won several award nominations for her role. Now, as the final season is right around the corner, the actress looks set to let it all go and move ahead with no regrets. Speaking to Glamour, Brown acknowledged the show’s contribution in giving her “the tools and the resources to be a better actor.”
However, she believed that the show took “a lot of time to film” and prevented her acting career from steering elsewhere. Thus, after several long years, she is “ready to say, ‘Thank you, and goodbye.’” In sharp contrast to other stars like Joe Keery’s mixed emotions on letting go, the Enola Holmes actress is in no mood to mourn. While she is bidding adieu to the show, she is not ready to let the cast go, as she will “still see these people.”
The actress who spent her teenage years on the show is moving ahead with a lot of new opportunities lying ahead.

At a time when fans are anticipating her character’s concluding showdown with Vecna on Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown is staring right at Chris Pratt and Netflix. She is slated to star alongside the actor in a Russo Brothers directorial, The Electric State. The post-apocalyptic sci-fi movie will be released sometime soon on Netflix. It is also to land sometime before or after, another of her Netflix movies, Damsel, in 2024.
The fate of all of Brown’s Netflix projects hangs in the balance thanks to the SAG-AFTRA strikes. While Stranger Things is running on a delay, production on her two movies is also yet to see the light of the day. Moreover, the pushed-back slate has seeded anxiety in fans of a forthcoming change in the original script to accommodate for the strikes. Regardless, the actress as well as her fans can only hope that the fantasy finale does not go The Witcher way.
