During one of the episodes of their podcast, The Squeeze, Taylor Lautner’s wife Taylor Dome, questioned him about one moment that he wishes he can go back to, and what would he say to himself. Lautner recalled the incident of the infamous 2009 VMA awards. Back then, Lautner himself presented the Award to the Willow singer. Swift was about to give her speech about winning the Best Female Video Award for You Belong to Me when Kanye West interrupted and took the mike from her.

Ye then went on to say how Beyonce was the one who actually deserved the award for All The Single Ladies. While Swift was clearly stunned, people around were unsure if it was a planned incident or a stunt. Lautner himself thought that it was part of a skit and chuckled. But when the singer turned around and the Cuckoo actor saw the expression on her face, he realized that it was not scripted.

The news of him and Taylor dating was still fresh when it all happened. While Beyonce actually won the Artist of The Year, she let the Shake it Off singer finish her speech. Ye also apologized through an interview afterwards. As for Lautner and Swift, they broke up and he is happily married now. But that one incident clearly stayed with him.
