Prince Harry shared a heartwarming bond with Prince William and Kate Middleton until a few years back. The trio did a lot of royal engagements together and were always spotted with a smile on their face. Following Middleton’s entry into the royal family, the Duke also labeled her as the sister he never had. However, Meghan Markle could never share the same camaraderie with the Prince and Princess of Wales. 

The future king and queen consort could never accept the former American actress wholeheartedly and they had tiffs with her since the very beginning. NBC News obtained a copy of Prince Harry’s upcoming book in which he detailed how Meghan Markle offended Kate Middleton before the royal marriage in May 2018. Why did Middleton demand an apology from Markle?

Kate Middleton had a showdown with Meghan Markle 

Prince Harry revealed that during one of the pre-wedding conversations, Kate Middleton forgot an insignificant detail. The same resulted in Meghan Markle claiming that the Princess of Wales had a “baby brain.” It refers to absent-mindedness and lack of concentration during pregnancy. Notably, Middleton gave birth to her third child, Prince Louis, on April 23, 2018. The remark by the Suits alum did not sit well with the future queen consort and she demanded an apology.

The Duke mentioned that he and Markle met the Wales couple for a reconciliatory tea in June 2018 to clear the air. During the interaction, the American actress reckoned that she made the comment in a friendly spirit. However, Catherine did not look pleased as she said, “You talked about my hormones. We are not close enough for you to talk about my hormones!”

In the book, Prince Harry also described how the Princess of Wales was agitated throughout the meeting. Moreover, Prince William also showed his disagreement with Meghan Markle. He lashed out at the Duchess while calling her statement rude. Markle did not approve of the future king’s anger and responded by saying, “take your finger out of my face.”
