In a historical move, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down as senior Royal officials in 2020. And as much as everyone wanted to believe that it is a new chapter for the couple, it is only now they understand that the chapter is still a part of the same book. This becomes very evident as even two years later, the back and forth between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and the Royal family has not ended. While more elements such as a tell-all documentary and memoir have been added, the discussions more or less remain the same.

Ever since their exit, the question regarding whether their children will get to keep their royal titles remains unanswered. And especially after King Charles took over the throne, netizens waited with bated breaths whether Archie and Lilibet will receive the title of Prince and Princess. Up until now, it was only their kids whose title was in danger. However, one particular member of the parliament has taken the allegations made by Prince Harry’s memoir very seriously. Royal commentators claim that he will not rest until the couple is stripped of their titles.

Will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle lose their royal titles?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made many accusations regarding the royal family. Prince Harry, especially, did not hold back in his almost four hundred pages long memoir. While the docuseries already caused controversy, the memoir just added salt to the burn. Among those who are disappointed in Prince Harry is a member of the Conservative Party of the UK Parliament, Bob Seely. He is preparing to pass a bill that will snatch Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal titles.

Bob Seely said that Prince Harry is bringing dishonor to respected institutions, “as well as trashing his family and monetizing his misery for public consumption.” A royal commentator told Fox News Digital that Seely is working on a private member’s will. The bill will aim to amend the Title Deprivation Act. This act had earlier been used to take away the UK titles from the German Royal family after World War I.

Some believe that the couple should be allowed to keep their royal titles if they use them for good. Others believe that since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry do not even live in the U.K. anymore, they do not have any rights over their royal titles.
