Swooning for Sydney Sweeney: ‘Reality’ Streaming Announcement Sets Fans Abuzz

A year-long wait is over as Sydney Sweeney starrer Reality is finally streaming on HBO. The actress announced this film with the playwright Tina Satter last year, and since then it has been in the news. There are various reasons why this film is so popular, but the primary one is its subject. The thrilling interrogation drama is extremely nerve-wracking because of its unique storyline.

The film is based on a segment of the life of the NSA whistleblower Reality Winner. Miss Winner was a former USA Air Force member and was working as NSA translator in 2016. On June 3, 2017, she was taken into custody under suspicion of divulging a classified intelligence report regarding Russian involvement in the 2016 U.S. elections.

The story of Reality is based on the one-hour interrogation that two FBI officers took of Reality Winner. Satter considered it a compelling subject and penned a play titled ‘Is This A Room’ based on it. Following the play’s tremendous success, Satter made the decision to develop it into a feature film. Recognizing Sweeney’s potential to shoulder the significant responsibility of portraying Winner on screen, she created Reality with Sweeney in mind.

The film finally saw its commercial release on May 29 and this is how the fans are reacting when Sweeney posted about it on Twitter.

How are fans reacting to Sydney Sweeney in Reality?

Reality saw its first premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival in February this year. The critics and the audience present at the Berlinale appreciated the film and Sweeney’s performance as Reality Winner. However, it took the film a while to get on a platform to finally stream.

Although, now that it is streaming on HBO, the fan squad of Sweeney is ready with their appreciation guns in the comment section. Most of them are saying that they are looking forward to streaming it as soon as possible.
