Surprising Reason for David Harbour’s “aggressive” Behaviour With Duffer Brothers Confirmed

Stranger Things has brought us many unforgettable characters, but a few of them are simply incomparable. For instance, there is really no better mom in Hawkins than Steve Harrington. And when it comes to that tough, hot-headed, yet protective father figure vibe, nobody pulls it off like Jim Hopper. Interestingly, he is pretty much the same off-camera as well.

Harbour recently confessed that he is not shy about being "aggressive" with the Duffer Brothers when discussing Stranger Things season 5.

Everyone is dying to know how the Hawkins saga ends—fans and even some of the Stranger Things cast included. It turns out the Duffer Brothers have been keeping the show’s ending a secret from many of the cast, including Winona Ryder. But David Harbour, as a special treatment, got the inside scoop on the endgame, which he recently spilled in a conversation with Josh Horowitz. Of course, he did not just get this information handed to him— he had to be "aggressive" to pry it out of the Duffer Brothers.

Harbour mentioned that he is always been on the Duffer Brothers' tail, trying to learn more about what is happening in the upcoming seasons, especially when it comes to his character, Jim Hopper. During the conversation, the actor even hinted that Hopper might have a bit of a heroic arc toward the end of the show. But Winona Ryder, who, by the way, is also the godmother to Matt Duffer’s child, was a little upset about not knowing how the show wraps up. But it was not just her.

'Stranger Things' Creators Duffer Brothers Confirm A Heart-Breaking Assumption of Fans and Their Favorite Characters

Actor Gaten Matarazzo once said they did not know anything about the finale until they actually showed up on set to film it.

Stranger Things cast did not get to read the finale script

Gaten Matarazzo, in an interview with Radio Times, shared last year what happened during their table read. Apparently, the cast was not even given the chance to read through the finale, and they only found out about it while filming the episodes. During the interview, Matarazzo was also one of the few cast members to talk about the possibility of returning as Dustin after the final season.

“I would love to see, potentially, if there's a continuation of Dustin," Matarazzo said. But he also pointed out that this could only happen if the lovable Hawkins monster fighter makes it all the way to the final moment of the show. And it seems, aside from the creators, only David Harbour really knows what is in store for Dustin and Hawkin’s future.
