‘Suits’ and ‘The Fall of the House of Usher’ on Netflix Continue to Dominate Streaming Charts
The show that pioneered the popularity of courthouse drama on television, Suits, is one of the most iconic shows of all time. With a stunningly talented cast that could turn the courtroom into a catwalk, it quickly soared to the top of viewership ratings. In June this year, the USA Network show arrived on Netflix. Upon arriving it quickly became one of the most streamed series on the platform proving that the move was heartily welcomed by the OTT mogul’s audience.
According to the latest reports, there is no stopping its ongoing success either.

Yesterday, The Hollywood Reporter listed the series that are topping current numbers in terms of streaming. At the very top is The Fall of the House of Usher with a viewership of 1.47 billion minutes in total. Following close behind, Suits stands second in the list with 1.06 billion minutes of viewing to its name. In the third spot was Grey’s Anatomy, which recorded 860 million watch minutes.
Considering the glowing reviews The Fall of the House of Usher received, its high ranking was not unexpected. However, it is also a fairly new addition to Netflix compared to Suits’ 2011 initial season release. This just goes to show how evergreen the Meghan Markle-starrer series has proven to be as it continues to set records even years after the ending. And Netflix recently took note of that.
After seeing Suits’ success, Netflix plans on incorporating a new strategy.

While Suits did score some serious credibility by entering the OTT mogul’s platform, it was already a hugely popular sitcom before too. And Netflix is no longer blind to the sway that shows like Suits have won over their audience. Recent reports have suggested that the company is headed in the direction of bringing even more licensed shows to its viewers. This could mean the return of even more classic sitcoms.
There are, meanwhile, also rumors that the makers of Suits may just revive the show. With its recent popularity on Netflix and Meghan Markle’s return to California, the home of Hollywood, the series may just be back in the works. And judging by the steaming charts, this could be another welcome addition to Netflix in the current climate.
