‘Stranger Things’ Writers Hit Back at the Single Major Criticism Fans Make for the Show and Its Cast
Stranger Things writers have remained connected with fans through social media ever since the release of season four. Especially, in the past months, they have continued to cheer viewers who are eager to watch the final battle. From dropping some puzzling questions to hinting at major events in the last season, the team keeps the wonderful spirit. However, it looks like this time they have lost their cool on people poking the actors who have worked on the show for years. In the latest post, writers pushed back at all the criticism with something that will shut people’s mouths.
Stranger Writers recently dropped a clip on Twitter and wrote “To everyone who says our actors look too old to play high schoolers…” The video showed students sitting in a classroom who looked a lot older than what high schoolers are supposed to be. We all know that horror drama is set in the same 1980s era when this clip was filmed.

Fans have been mocking the cast for a long time that they will be too old to play their characters when season 5 comes out. So through this, the team proved their point that age would not matter because it actually happened in that era. In fact, the show has perfectly depicted the retro style that kids used to follow in the 80s.
The hairstyles of all the boys and girls in the video are exactly what the series showed. Whether it is Steve’s bad boy mullet or Kali’s radical look, everything is the same. Well, the credit for this astounding resemblance goes to Sarah Hindsgaul, who created all these killer looks with her expertise.

Last month, the Emmy-winning hair artist sat down with Netflix Queue to take about all the amazing looks she designed for season 4. In this interview, she revealed that hair is not just about outer look but it also showed those kids are growing up. Sarah Hindsgaul kept it in mind that teenagers would do their hair to define their social status or attract the attention of others.
“It’s just the age of searching for who you are. You’re jumping around so much at that age,” Hindsgaul remarked. According to her, during the period the characters are going through, they get influenced by others and try new things. So she did not add any perfection because at this age people feel awkward because they have not found their true selves yet.
