Long before One Piece, Netflix had already established its chokehold on quality content creation with Stranger Things. The fantasy sci-fi took over fans by a blaze as they binged thousands of hours of the show spanning four seasons. However, the juggernaut franchise is currently at a loss of motion thanks to the SAG-AFTRA strikes. When the actors are yet to return to the set, the story moves forward. The latest turn of events will happen when a prequel play, Stranger Things: The First Shadow hits London theaters soon.

The play-writer recently teased what is in store for fans of the series. Along with continuity storylines, there are also a ton of easter eggs waiting to be broken.

On November 6th, The Stranger Things Day, Will Byers goes missing, and Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven opens the portal to an alternate dimension birthing the Stranger Things storyline. While Eleven’s history has been explored throughout four seasons of the show, the upcoming stage play would set the focus on her adversary Vecna’s past. Additionally, in the latest promotional video for itself, the play promised “It’s Easter morning.”

Set in 1959, Stranger Things: The First Shadow will play out some early characters in two chapters. Featuring characters from the main storyline such as Hopper, Joyce Maldonado, Bob Newby, and Henry Creel, it would explore Hawkins before it turned upside down. However, its major focus would lie in Creel’s transformation to Vecna. Inevitably, it is bound to tie itself with the wider universe with Easter eggs in tow.
