Season four left the Hawkins gang to prepare themselves in time for a climactic showdown with Vecna in the final one. Months after Shawn Levy teased “cinematic storytelling” and an upscale of the narrative, developments in that precise direction have started to take shape. CastingTaylorMade, which handles the casting for Stranger Things, issued casting calls for the fifth season. Looking to fit “various adult roles”, the calls are for minor roles only.
Interestingly, the requirements for the roles list optional paramedic knowledge as well as sound handling of bicycles and skateboarding. Additional roles also called for “featured male for special effects makeup”. The roles are likely to fill world-building and showcase a gargantuan step-up or devastation of a large scale in the offing.
In the meantime, few of the show’s primary cast have already laid bare their emotions on its ending and the journey forward.
