‘Stranger Things’ Season 5: Finn Wolfhard Reveals Key Elements About the Finale on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’
In 2016, Netflix greenlit the first season of its horror-fantasy and before long it crossed nearly past eight years of leaving an impact on mainstream pop culture. In four seasons, the Millie Bobby Brown starrer has held the distinction of dominating the streamer’s top ten charts while expanding on its narrative with every subsequent iteration. Marred by delays, season five of Stranger Things may stand a bit late as of now, but Finn Wolfhard assured fans that there are good things in the tow.
The Mike Wheeler actor opened up on the crux of what lay at the heart of the forthcoming final chapter of his show.

Soon after the SAG-AFTRA strikes concluded, Netflix left little to haste as it gathered its cast and crew to begin work on the fifth and final season of its teenage thriller. With shy details around the plot already in the open after the ending of the last season, Finn Wolfhard stated that the entire team stays put “trying to make it as best as we can” with the focus on a “proper send-off” to Stranger Things.
In his March appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the 21-year-old actor reiterated previous comments by producer Shawn Levy of a bigger-than-ever narrative for the finale. Despite the expansion, Wolfhard maintained that at its core season five would also land as an “isolated storyline”. Furthermore, he also laid bare how the incoming season will have the cast “not split up”. “We’re all kind of together,” he summed up as he finally crowned season five as a “special thing”.
The comments from the actor came on the backs of one of his other recent ones breaking down the show’s expected release timeline.

Season five of Stranger Things has the stage set for Eleven to face off with Vecna in a decider of theirs as well as many of the core cast’s fate. However, the twin Hollywood strikes did take a toll on the show’s timeline as Finn Wolfhard revealed the show completed just three months of its production. With an additional expected nine months to cover, 2024 does not appear as the likely candidate for a release window.
Factoring in the visual effects, enhancements, and other post-production details, the final season of Stranger Things may not grace the screens until mid or early 2025. Yet, the possibility of any of the core members returning for any potential spin-off remains open until the drop of the fifth season sets things in stone.
