Stranger Things season 5 can be called both anticipated and yet not. Anticipated because it has been two years since the show left fans on a cliffhanger about the fate of Hawkins, and not because the fifth season will draw its curtains on the show, once and for all. Amidst the growing buzz for the final season, Jamie Campbell Bower, known for playing Vecna, the evil antagonist of the popular Netflix original, has dropped some tantalizing hints on what is likely to come next year.

Bower compared the scale of season 4 with that of the upcoming season 5 and gave a clear-cut reason as to why this agonizing anticipation is worth it.

Jamie Campbell Bower, the bad guy of Stranger Things, is making sure to keep the buzz alive for the fifth season. As fans eagerly wait to see the ultimate battle between Vecna and the Hawkins gang, the British actor has been dropping breadcrumbs here and there regarding what to expect from the finale; some knowingly, and some by accidental spills. Recently, during a conversation with Kristian Harloff on The Big Thing show, Campbell shared that the fifth season is going to be even “bigger,” more “expansive,” and “wild” than the fourth one.

Bower had to mention “more” another fifteen times just to drive the point home about the scale of the fifth installment. He recalled walking onto the sets of Stranger Things season 4 and being starstruck by its enormity. He mentioned that “season 5 is no different” and it is constantly “growing”, perhaps even vaster than the vines of the Upside Down. Along with dropping hints of what is in store for season 5, Bower also shared insights into his relationship with the cast, especially Millie Bobby Brown.

Jamie Campbell Bower looked back on the moment he first landed the role in Stranger Things. During the first table read for the fourth season, he recalled sitting behind Millie Bobby Brown as stars like Winona Ryder introduced themselves to the new addition. As he was performing Vecna's lines, he noticed Brown turning back and looking at him in a way that made him feel “so much love” and "trust".

This encouragement fueled him, and Bower felt confident that season 4 was shaping up to be “absolute fire.” That was certainly reflected on the screen whenever Eleven and One, aka Henry Creel aka Vecna, shared scenes. With an epic showdown between the two in store for the upcoming season, and the hints Bower has dropped, the anticipation for Stranger Things season 5 is only on the rise.
